Our two LR 11350 crawler cranes from the Danish crane company BMS Heavy Cranes A/S were used for the installation of a newly developed 14 megawatt wind turbine at the Østerild wind turbine test field in the north of Denmark 🇩🇰. Both cranes were equipped with power-boom as well as luffing jib to 185 metres hook height with 380 tons ballast. First the 10-metre high nacelle, which has a volume of 800 cubic metres, was lifted. This was followed by the generator, which was by far the heaviest load.

There’s a special place along the Texas Gulf Coast where Endangered Whooping Cranes return to winter each year. Now, it's protected forever.
